Levels of Membership

Types of Membership

We believe in being adaptable. With this in mind, we offer various levels of membership within IMPACT. You can choose the level that makes the most sense for your organization, agency, or entity. All membership is open to any agency, organization, or entity that intersects with reducing domestic/sexual violence in Alberta.

There are three types of membership with varying levels of involvement:

Associate Member

Associate Membership is open to any agency, organization, or entity that intersects with reducing domestic/sexual violence in Alberta.

Associate Members, support IMPACT through:

Some of the opportunities available through Associate Membership include:

General Member

General Members support IMPACT through:

Communicating within their organization, community, network about IMPACT.
Sharing institutional knowledge and contributing to the collective’s goal of shared measurement.
Participating in community consults to inform and guide the work of IMPACT.
Attending the general summit once every two-three years,
Subscribing to a shared vision, a common understanding of the issues and a joint approach to addressing the issues.
Being listed as an IMPACT Member.
Participating in an annual survey.

In addition to the same benefits as Associate Membership, some of the opportunities available through General Membership include:

Reduced rate/no fee registration at Summits.
The right to vote at community consults to inform and guide the work of IMPACT.
The option to participate in Working Groups.
Influence the direction of IMPACT’s work.
Networking opportunities.
Increased visibility for your entity.
Learning opportunities and access to more detailed current and relevant research.

Mobilizing Member

Mobilizing Membership is open to entities whose senior leaders are influencers in Domestic/Sexual Violence work in Alberta.

Mobilizing Members support IMPACT through:

Attending bi-monthly virtual meetings.
Being an ambassador for the vision/mission of IMPACT.
Participating in the governance of IMPACT.
Having the support of the entity to be a mobilizer.
Mobilizing others (individuals, organizations, networks) in influencing, adopting and activating the work of IMPACT.
Sharing institutional knowledge and contributing to the collective’s goal of shared measurement.
Participating in an annual survey.
Attending the General Summit every two years.
Being listed as an IMPACT Mobilizer.

In addition to the same benefits as Associate/General Membership, some of the opportunities available through Mobilizing Membership include:

Receiving leadership support and training.
Setting the direction of domestic and sexual violence prevention in Alberta.
Accessing support from backbone agency and sector colleagues to enhance your leadership skills and opportunities
Unique networking opportunities as a Leader in IMPACT.
Increasing your organization’s capacity to engage in primary prevention initiatives.
Enriching your organization’s policies through adapting/adopting innovative and relevant strategies to the prevention of domestic and sexual violence.
